Pokhranu  Nuclear test

On May 11, 1998, India conducted a nuclear test in Pokhran. It was the first time that an atomic bomb had been dropped on a safe human race.

Kalam wanted that to be the last time. This made a section angry with Kalam. Another section felt satisfied that India had also become a superpower.

After the completion of the first test, the Prime Minister of the day Vajpayee saluted the Indian scientists including Kalam.

The government explained that since the Pokhran tests were conducted underground, no radiation was transmitted to the atmosphere

Before Pratham Vajpayee, Prime Minister Indira Gandhi was very serious about nuclear bomb for the sake of India's security.

This is why India did the nuclear test in 1974. In 1974, the world was shocked when the same Pokhran conducted another atomic bomb test on the day of Buddha Jayanti.

After this event, Kalam started his life journey very simply. In 1977, he was awarded the Bharat Ratna!

Question to Kalam

"Kalam, why did you carry out the Pokhran blast? What is India going to achieve by claiming to be a nuclear-armed nation when we are struggling with basic facilities?"

This is the question Kalam is asked wherever he goes after 1998.

Kalam replied, “We have not conquered any country. No country is degraded. Shouldn't we reciprocate when our neighbors threaten us with nuclear weapons in their hands? It is for this purpose that nuclear bombs are being prepared and tested," he said.

Religious harmony

Once upon a time in Rameswaram, on Rama Navami, the idol of Sri Rama was brought to Theppa Pond for Theppa Utsavam. Then 6 unexpectedly the idol of Rama fell into that deep pool.

Immediately Kalamin Patanar, who was standing on the bank, forgot that he was a Muslim, jumped into the pool and lifted the statue up.

Then all the Hindus praised him. Not only that. Even today in the Rameswaram temple, the Kalam family is given the first respect.

Mentioning this event, Kalam explains in his autobiography that he should love every religion, apart from the rites of religion!

Any time is a good time

Before Abdul Kalam stood for the Indian presidential election, Union Minister Pramod Mahajan spoke to Kalam over the phone from Delhi.

"Do you have the intention of filing the petition in good time for the election?" When Mahajan asked Kalam, Kalam replied, "Because the earth revolves around itself, day and night come. A year is born because the sun revolves around itself.

Both these phenomena are related to 'Astronomy. Not astrology. Any time in this is a good time for me!

When Kalam visited Ajmer, reporters showed him the two pictures and asked, "Which type of hairdo would you choose?"

When he was announced as the presidential candidate, he said, “Whatever happened, happened well. Whatever happens happens well. "Whatever is going to happen, it's going to happen well," he said in the words of the Gita.
