๐Ÿ‘‰Abdul Kalam was born on October 15, 1931 in Rameswaram, South Koti, a spiritual symbol of Indian national unity.

๐Ÿ‘‰In 1954, he joined the Aeronautical Engineering Department of the College of Technology (MIT), Chrompet, Chennai.

๐Ÿ‘‰In 1963, he was part of the team that successfully launched India's first rocket, Abag, a sounding rocket.

๐Ÿ‘‰In 1967, the Indian-made Rohini 75 rocket was successfully launched from the Tumba rocket launch pad.

๐Ÿ‘‰In 1980, he became the director of the 'Launch Vehicle System'.

๐Ÿ‘‰He was awarded the Padma Bhushan on 26th January 1981 by the then President Dr. Neelam Sanjeevi Reddy.

๐Ÿ‘‰On 31 May 1981, the 3-D1 rocket was launched and brought Kalam more fame.

๐Ÿ‘‰Kalam was Scientific Adviser to the Defense Minister from July 1992 to December 1999.

๐Ÿ‘‰In 1993, he took on the additional responsibility of chairing the Technology Information Forecasting and Assessment Council (TIFAC).In 1996, he became a member of the Technical Board.

๐Ÿ‘‰In 1997, he was awarded Bharat Ratna, India's highest award.

๐Ÿ‘‰On May 11, 1998, he detonated the second major nuclear test in Pokhran and made the world look back.

๐Ÿ‘‰He served as the Chief Scientific Advisor to the Government of India from 1999 to November 2001.

๐Ÿ‘‰On 25 November 1999, he was promoted as Principal Scientific Adviser, equivalent to a Union Cabinet Minister.

๐Ÿ‘‰He retired from his duties in November 2001 and took over as a sessional professor at Anna University.

๐Ÿ‘‰On July 25, 2002, Dr. Abdul Kalam became the 11th President of India.
