When Khushwant Singh was informed about Kalam's arrival, Singh hung up the phone saying, "Who is playing on the phone?"

It was only when the guards came to Singh's house the next day and observed the security arrangements that Singh realized the truth. On meeting him in person, Singh was delighted to say, "I have read your 'History of the Sikhs'."

Kalam immediately contacted the Agra Collector and redressed the girl's grievance. A few days later Kalam got a reply from the girl saying “Thank you uncle”!

Kalam Gopinath had a habit even before becoming the President. He has met Kalam for an N.D.T.V interview. So he was thinking that somehow he could interview Kalam and make the show better.

But Gopinath got a rejection message from Kalam. As "President of the country should not participate in such programs"!

Abdul Kalam went to Jumma Masjid in Delhi one day when he was President.

Because of the crisis, he stood in the last row with the crowd and prayed to the Lord. He always does not like to show himself in any place and create a sensation.

Once when Kalam was in plain clothes, he asked, "How to meet the Prime Minister?" He hesitated.

His friend cheered him on, saying, "The suit of victory is what you have."

He rushed to meet the Prime Minister with the thought that "good clothes are good for the human soul. Smiling, happy and smiling mind and face"!

On one occasion when Abdul Kalam was traveling abroad, the airport officials removed his foot shoes and searched him.
