The day after playing

We invite you to travel with us for a while on the river of imagination in the flood of primordial time. Let us fast forward at the rate of a century per second to nineteen eighty-two (written in 1950) years before today.

In the southern part of the Tirumunapadi country, between the Thondai country and the Chola country, two kathadoors to the west of Thillaich Chirambalam, there lies a lake like an ocean of waves. It is called Veeranarayana Lake. It is one and a half ears long in the south north and half an ear wide in the east and west. With the passage of time its name has been corrupted and today it is given as 'Veeranathu Lake'.

On the morning of the eighteenth day of Monday, a young hero was traveling on a horse on the banks of the Veera Narayana lake, which was as wide as the waves. He belongs to the Vanara clan famous in the heroic history of Tamil Nadu. His name is Vallavarayan Vandiyathevan. His horse was walking slowly, tired from a long journey. The young warrior didn't care at all about that. That great hero

The appearance of the Narayana lake had captivated his heart so much.

On the 18th day of Aadi, all the rivers of Cholanatu are flooded. The lakes receiving water from those rivers were also completely filled and the waves were touching the top of the banks. The water from the river given by the devotees as Vada Kaveri and Kollidam by the public came through Vadavaat and flowed into the Veera Narayana Lake, making it a Pongung sea. Through the seventy-four passes of the lake, the water flowed gushingly and provided water supply for a long distance.

As far as the eye could see, plowing, clearing and planting were going on in the valleys with that lake water. The peasants who were plowing and the peasant women who were planting were singing melodious songs here and there. Hearing all this, Vandyadevan was walking slowly without driving his tired horse. From the time he got on the bank of the lake, he kept counting the passes with the intention of knowing whether it was true that the lake had seventy-four passes. About an hour and a half after he came along the shore of the great lake he counted seventy passes.

Aha! How big is this lake? How long? How wide? Don't you think that all the lakes built during the time of the Pallava emperors in the Thondai country are small ponds in front of this lake? Prince Rajadittha, the son of Paranthakan of Madurai, wanted to build this sea-like lake in order to use the water that falls in the North Kaveri in vain, and he thought and fulfilled it! What kind of intellectual must he have been? Who else is Veera Paurushad Dile? Didn't he himself mount an elephant and fight in the battle at Thakolam? Life by fighting and bearing the work of the enemies in the chest

Isn't it Neetar? So he became known as the god who rode on an elephant and reached heroic heaven, didn't he?

The kings of this Chola clan are amazing! They are as much in valor as they are in virtue. They are the best in virtue as well as in piety.

With all this in mind, Vandiyathevan came to the south bank of Veera Narayana Lake. There he saw the view of Vadaraya, which had separated from Vada Kaveri, reaching the lake. At a short distance from the shores of the lake, the interior of the lake was a basin. In order to prevent damage to the bank when the flood comes and hits, they have planted oak trees and palm trees in that basin. Reeds were growing thickly along the banks. From the south-west direction, the fresh flood of the north wind coming from the south-west direction and mixing in Veeranarayana lake with tree line on both sides looked like a beautiful colorful scene.

Vandiyadeva saw there some other scenes which added to the sweetness and gaiety of that lovely appearance.

Wasn't it the day of the eighteenth birthday? From the neighboring villages, people were coming there in droves, pulling sapparas made of ivory-colored coconuts. Men, women and children were dressed in new clothes and decorated with various decorations. The women's hair was decorated with bunches of flowers such as dalambhu, chevvantiphoo, jasmine, mullai, irwatshi, sennapagam etc. Many people had come in families with kotanchoor and chitrannam. Some people stood by the water's edge on the bank of the lake and put Chitrannam etc. in kamugu bats. A few more brave men walked a short distance through the water and reached the northern shore and ate while standing there. Some of the children threw the eaten kamugu bats over the side of the passes and laughed heartily as they saw the bats fall through the passes and run out to the lake shore. Some of the men are fussy about their girlfriends

They unknowingly took the flowers from their hair and left them on the side of the pass and were happy to see them running to the other side of the lake.

Vallavarayan was standing there for some time watching all this. He also listened to the singing of some of the women standing there with sweet voices. They will flow and flood. Gummi and Sind sang.

"Come and watch the raging rain, Palliyar! Come and watch the Velar rush and have fun, friend! Come and see the Kaveri roaring, Pankyar!"

Flood songs like that flowed like a flood of pleasure in Vandiyathevan's ears.

Others sang songs praising the heroes of the Chola kings. Fought in thirty-two battles. Some women sang about the bravery of Vijayalaya Chola who had ninety-six wounds on his body as ornaments. A woman sang a beautiful song in praise of the valor of his son Adita Chola, who had built sixty-four temples from the source of the Kaveri to the point where it joins the sea. Another girl sings the meik kirti of Adithan's son Parantaka Chola Maharaja who defeated the Pandyas, Pallavas and Cheras and sent an army to Eelam and hoisted the victory flag. As each one sang, many stood around her and listened, occasionally saying 'Ah! Ah!' They chanted and expressed their happiness.

Listening to their songs while on horseback An old lady noticed Vandiyathevan who was there. "Brother! Looks like you've come a long way. You are so tired! Get off your horse and eat some corn!” she said.

Immediately, many young girls saw our adolescent journey. They talked among themselves secretly about his appearance and laughed merrily. Vandiyathevan was gripped by shame on one side and joy on the other. He thought for a moment whether the old lady would go down and eat the food she offered. If he goes like that, it is certain that many of the young women standing there will surround him and laugh in admiration. So what? Is it easy to find so many beautiful women in one place? Even though they laughed at him, the sound was divine, all the girls standing on the lakeside appeared to the yellow eyes of Vandiyathevan as Arampai and Menakai!

But at the same time a sight appeared in the current of the north wind in a south-west direction which made him hesitate a little. Seven or eight large streams, spread with white mats, were rushing by the upper wind, like swans floating on the water with outstretched wings.

All the people who were engaged in various activities on the shore of the lake began to look eagerly towards the direction of the boats.

One of the boats rushed ahead of them all and reached the corner where the lake bank turned north. In that boat were many auspicious warriors carrying sharp and bright swords.

Some of them jumped down on the lake shore and stayed there Look at the people and say 'Go! Go!" they chased away. People too, leaving no room for them to drive away too much Taking their roles etc They hurried to shore. This did not mean anything to Vandiyathevan, these soldiers who Who comes in the mated boats behind? Where do they come from? Probably a member of the royal family Will they be?

Vallavarayan approached an old man who was standing on the bank of the lake with a stick in his hand. "Sir! To whom do these soldiers belong? And to whom do the streams like a flock of swans behind them belong? Why are these soldiers chasing away the people? Why are the people rushing?" He asked questions.

"Brother! You don't know what? There is a flag flying in the middle of the boats! Look what is written on it!” said the elder.

pome :

"Looks like a palm tree."

"Palm tree! Don't you know that the palm vine is the scavenger vine?"

Vandiyathevan asked in a startled voice, "Is Mahaveer Paluvetarai coming?"

"It must be so; who else can come with a palm flag?" said the elder.

Vallavariya's eyes widened in boundless astonishment and looked towards the direction from which the boats had come. Vallavarayan had heard a lot about Paluvettaraiyar. Who could not hear? From Eznadu in the south to Kalinga Nadu in the north, Annan Thambii was the elder brother and sister. The names of Chinnap Paluvettaraiyar were famous. Their town is Paluvur on the north bank of the Vada Kaveri next to Varayur. The Paluvettarayar clan was renowned for its valor since the Vijayalaya Chola period. The family used to make purchases with the family of the Chola king. Because of this and because of their nobility and valor, the Paluvettarai clan had all the privileges of a royal clan. Akula also has the right to put up a separate flag. The elder of the two present Paluvettarai is twenty Fought in four wars. To him in his time

He was renowned as having no equal in the Chola country. Now many of the noblest in the Chola government He held positions. He was the ruler of the Chola Empire. Tanyathikari Dhana Bandaram and Tanya Bandaram are his were in power. He had the power to levy and levy according to political exigencies. He had the right to command and charge any petty king, clan leader or big drunkard, who should give so much money this year?'' So, next to the Sundara Chola Maharaja, Paluvettarai was now the most powerful person in the Chola Empire.

Vandiyadeva's heart swelled with the desire to see such a great warrior and one with immense strength and power. But at the same time, he remembered the message that Prince Aditha Karikalar had told him privately in the new Golden Palace of Kanchi.

"Come! I know very well that you are a pure hero. Also, believing that you are a good scholar, I entrust you with this great responsibility. Of the two leaves which I have given, one should be entrusted to my father Maharaja and the other to my sister Ilaya Prati. I even hear something about the great officers of the kingdom at Tanjore. So no one should know the message I am sending. No matter how important you are, don't let it be known that you are taking away from me. Do not fight with anyone on the way. It's not enough if you don't go to the fight. Don't get caught even if others pull you into a violent fight. I will know your valor. You have proven yourself many times, so even if you walk away from a tough fight, you will not lose any honor. Mainly, you should be very careful with the scumbags and my little father Madhurandhakar.''

The crown prince of the Chola Empire was also Vadashisha

This is how Adittha Karikalar, the great hero of Sainyam had said. And Vandiyathevan should behave He had also read and read about the methods. These are When you come to your senses, you have to see the exterminator Vallavarayan suppressed his desire. the horse He knocked and tried to speed away. Whatever knocks AIADMK Government of Tamil Nadu received

In Sri LankaThe tired horse went slowly. He decided in his heart to stay tonight at the Sambuvariyar mansion of Kadampur and when he leaves tomorrow morning, he should get another good horse and leave.
